Whilst travelling to the sites your guide will also talk you through locations you pass, such as where certain trainers are located and other interesting facts about the town.

You will see thousands of horses working over 2,500 acres of Jockey Club land, from the top stables around town. You will see the variety in gallops, such as hills, surface and length.

You will visit the yard of top female trainer Julia Feilden and see the daily working and a behind the scenes look at a real training stable. You will get a detailed talk about each horse and learn how to train a racehorse from being in the field to on the racetrack. Also included is a chance to get up close and personal with the horses, stable staff and a possible meeting with Julia.

The most successful training centre in Britain, this is where the jockeys of tomorrow are trained. They also offer an extensive range of courses throughout the racing industry.

Set in 500 beautiful acres, see top stallions, mares and foals and the process of a foal being conceived to its first tender steps of being a racehorse (open 1st March - 30th September and October race days), make your visit even more memorable by visiting the Wavertree Coffee Shop for a spot of tea and coffee.

A fascinating glimpse of racing memorabilia (open 1st April- 31st October), you will see everything from the gun that jockey Fred Archer shot himself with to the skeleton of Eclipse, ancestor of 90% of modern day thoroughbreds.

Sample the unique atmosphere at Europe's top sales ring (when sales are taking place), see the future champions changing hands for thousands of pounds from the yearlings to older horses.

As a private members club few have ever had the privilege of stepping inside the house which is steeped in racing history with memorabilia and British sporting art.
